Marzocco

The Lion of Florence

Every Florentine knows this special lion: Marzocco. The noble heraldic animal and one of Florence's landmarks holds a shield bearing the Florentine lily in its paw. The sculpture, created by the sculptor Donatello in 1420, is now housed in the Museo del Bargello, while a sandstone copy stands prominently and unmistakably on the Piazza della Signoria in front of the Palazzo Vecchio.

True to Florentine style, Roberto Ugolini's Marzocco bottle is presented in a warm violet – another color highly characteristic of Florence. In bright colors, the mane of the proud Marzocco shines under the Italian sun, accompanied by fruity and sparkling citrus notes of mandarin, lime, and lemon, which embody the spirit of the Italian summer. Magnificent orange blossom and enchanting jasmine exude their unique nobility, paying full tribute to Marzocco, this famous lion and king of beasts.

Delicate, expertly balanced, and elegantly presented, the base features a masterfully crafted composition of tart, spicy vanilla accents, fine, mysteriously evocative patchouli, dry cedarwood, powdery musk, and a selection of the finest woods. Marzocco once again showcases the mastery of the experienced perfumers Maurizio Cerizza and Cristian Calabrò, who have perfectly realized the creative concept of Herbert Stricker.
